The mechanical animals are so detailed, I keep finding new gears and rivets every time I look at the fabric. It sewed up smoothly for a quilt backing without any pulling or distortion.

The metallic sheen on these steampunk animals is perfect—the copper and bronze tones really pop against the dark background. I've already cut into it for a quilt backing.

I wasn't sure how the mechanical animals would look at a distance, but the steampunk details are crisp and clear across the whole yardage. The metallic copper tones in the gears really make the fabric pop for my next costume project.
