The deep navy and rust tones in this fabric are even richer in person, and the border print makes it effortless to frame a quilt center. I used it for a railroad-themed baby quilt and the locomotive details stayed crisp after washing.

I was a bit worried the train motif would look too busy, but the repeating border pattern is actually really balanced and easy to work with for my quilt strips. The brown and steel blue shades give it that nice vintage feel without feeling dingy.

The deep charcoal background really makes the industrial train motifs pop, and the fabric has a nice sturdy hand for quilting. I'm using it as a border on a vintage-inspired throw, and the pattern repeats perfectly without awkward gaps.
