I was worried about stretch with minky fabrics, but this one holds its shape beautifully while still feeling incredibly soft. The pile is just the right depth for adding a cozy touch without adding bulk.

The 1.5mm pile is the sweet spot—plush enough to feel luxurious but stable enough that my quilt squares didn't shift while I was piecing them. I've washed a sample twice and it held up beautifully with barely any fraying on the cut edges.

Cut a few squares for a baby quilt and the pile stayed put instead of sliding around like some minky I've tried. It's got that 1.5mm plushness but sews up flat without the fabric stretching out of shape. Definitely my go-to for a soft, stable backing.
