I was really impressed by how well the hot air balloon motifs hold their shape after washing—the colors didn't bleed or fade at all. The fabric has a nice, soft hand that's perfect for a quilt top.

The batik dyeing gives these travel-themed prints a depth that flat cotton just can't match, and the hot air balloons really pop against the thyme green. I've already cut into it for a quilt backing and the hand-dyed texture makes every piece feel one-of-a-kind.

The colors in this Thyme yardage are even richer than they looked online, and the hot air balloon print is perfectly centered. I'm already planning a quilt for a little adventurer’s room.
