The instructions were so clear that even as a beginner, I managed to sew this little guy in one afternoon. The axolotl’s face turned out exactly as pictured, with those cute gills adding a nice finishing touch.

I was a little nervous about making a plush with so many little frills, but the pattern pieces fit together perfectly on my first try. The finished axolotl has such a charming, mischievous expression, and the gill details were easier to sew than I expected.

The instructions were surprisingly clear even for someone like me who usually struggles with plush patterns, and the final axolotl turned out adorable. I love that it’s designed by Pauline McArthur because the face shaping came together exactly as shown on the cover photo.
