Yardage Island Batik Neutros Casca de Ovo

The texture on this yardage is exactly what I look for in a batik—smooth and tight weave, not flimsy at all. I’m already planning a second order for a quilt backing because the color is such a versatile neutral that it goes with everything.

The yardage is a consistent 44/45 inches wide so my cutting mat measurements were spot on for my quilt blocks. The batik texture adds just enough subtle interest against brighter prints. After prewashing, the fabric softened nicely and barely shrank.

The color is such a soft, warm off-white—perfect for adding a subtle neutral layer to my quilting projects. The batik texture gives the fabric a slightly crinkled feel that I find really appealing. I’m already planning my next project around this yardage.
