Steam & Steel by Dan Morris for QT Fabrics (Quilting Treasures) draws inspiration from vintage locomotives and the industrial golden age of steam travel. The collection showcases rich shades of charcoal, navy, rust, and earthy tones, along with detailed train panels, mechanical gears, and nostalgic ephemera prints. These designs are perfect for themed quilts, apparel, home décor, and projects for train enthusiasts.

This panel highlights vintage trains in each section, journeying through scenic landscapes, and is framed with a train track border set against a soft pearl background.

Abigail ★★★★★

The 36-inch panel gives me so much room to play with—I've already planned a quilt top around that black background and the vintage locomotive detail. The rich steam-era tones really pop against the darker fabric, exactly what I wanted for a masculine-themed throw.

Evelyn U. ★★★★★

The train panel's detail is incredible, those vintage locomotive wheels and steam clouds look almost photo-realistic up close. I'm using it as the centerpiece of my grandson's quilt and the 36-inch width gave me plenty of design room. The black background really makes the metallic gray tones pop.

Claire ★★★★★

The rich shades of charcoal and steel gray really capture that vintage locomotive feel, and the fabric weight is perfect for a quilt backing. I’m already planning to build a railroad-themed quilt top around this panel.
