Grunge Basics Grey Couture Yardage

The fabric’s slightly mottled texture adds just enough visual interest to make my quilt backing look intentional, not plain. It pressed flat without any fuss, even with my cheap iron.

I’ve been using this as a blender in a few quilts and the washed-out grey tone blends beautifully without disappearing into the other fabrics. The yardage also handled pressing well and didn’t shift when I was cutting strips, which makes piecing feel a lot smoother.

The fabric's texture feels like a well-worn favorite from the first touch, and the subtle grey tones blend perfectly with my brighter prints. I used it as a background for a quilt top, and it adds just the right amount of depth without overpowering the design.
