The hand-dyed finish really does read like suede, which I wasn't expecting from a cotton. I used it for a small throw pillow and the color has this depth that shifts in different light.

I ordered two yards for a tote bag and the suede look fooled my sewing group until they touched it. The hand-dyed color has this depth that shifts depending on the light, and the cotton presses beautifully without that plasticky sheen. Just wish it came in wider widths.

The fabric is, genuinely, the closest thing to suede I've found without the price tag. I used it to re-cover a bench cushion, and it took the curve of the corners beautifully with no fraying at the edges. That hand-dyed color has real depth in person, not flat like most cotton prints.
