I love how the mechanical animal motifs pop against the warm brown gear background—the details are crisp and the scale feels just right for quilting squares. The fabric is sturdy but still easy to cut without fraying too much, which was a pleasant surprise.

The brown gears on this fabric have such a rich, vintage look that really make steampunk projects pop. I love how the yardage lets me fussy cut around the different machine elements.

The mechanical animal prints are so detailed up close, the little brass rivets and cogs look almost hand-drawn. I’m using a half-yard for a steampunk quilt backing and the brown tones are deeper and richer than the photos showed.
