I was pleasantly surprised by how soft this flannel feels straight out of the package—it has a nice weight without being too heavy. The grey shadow pattern gives it a subtle texture that works perfectly for a simple gathered skirt.

The pattern is subtle enough to look good anywhere, but the flannel has a nice weight to it that feels substantial without being stiff. I bought a yard for a fall table runner and it pressed beautifully.

The drape on this flannel is absolutely perfect for a quilt backing—it’s soft without being heavy, and the nimbus grey has that subtle shadow play that makes the weave look almost dimensional. I’ve already washed it twice and the color hasn’t budged.
