I bought this blue Japonica yardage to add a soft floral touch to a quilt, and the colors are exactly as pictured—rich but not overpowering. The fabric feels lovely to work with, with just the right weight for piecing. It’s become the standout piece in my project.

The print is so delicate and painterly — the little roses really look hand-brushed. I love how the periwinkle blue makes the white flowers pop. This will make gorgeous quilt backing.

The blue ground is deeper and richer in person than on screen, and the hand-painted roses have that soft watercolor edge that makes the whole collection feel graceful. I've already cut into it for a quilt backing and the yardage pressed like a dream.
