I finally got around to cutting into this yardage for a Halloween costume, and the crow motif is printed so crisply it looks hand-painted. The black background has a nice, matte finish that doesn't feel stiff at all.

The black crows on this yardage are perfectly detailed, and the "handwritten" texture of the letters gives it an authentic vintage feel. I’ve already used it for a collage project and the pattern matches up really well at the seams.

I was initially skeptical about the crows pattern, but the black-on-black print is subtle enough for everyday wear and has a nice eerie feel. The yardage was exactly as ordered, though I wish the fabric had a bit more drape for my sewing project.
