The hand-dyed finish really does look like suede, which gives my quilted tote a richness plain cotton never could. The turquoise has subtle depth across the yard, so I'm planning a second project just to use more of it.

I've sewn with a lot of quilting cotton and this is the first one that actually feels like suede to the touch. The hand-dyed finish gives it a depth I didn't expect, so my throw pillows look way more expensive than the yardage cost.

The turquoise color is even richer in person, with subtle variations where the dye took differently. I used it for a throw pillow cover and it sewed up beautifully on my machine, no fraying issues. The suede-like texture gives it a much more expensive look than the price suggested.
