Tessuto 1315 Gunmetal Cherrywood al metro

I ordered two yards to reupholster a small footstool and the hand-dyed color has so much more depth than I expected from a flat swatch. The cotton is sturdy but still soft, and it pressed beautifully around the curves.

This cotton has a suede-like finish that feels way richer than I expected for a hand-dyed fabric. I used it for a set of toss pillows and the gunmetal shade shifts beautifully in different light. Zero fraying when I cut it, which says a lot for a fabric this textured.

I've been working with this fabric for a week now and the hand-dyed suede look really does add a rich, almost velvety texture to my quilting projects. The 100% cotton base makes it easy to sew, though I wish the color was slightly more consistent across the yardage.
