I was worried the cotton would feel stiff, but it's surprisingly soft with a slight suede-like nap that catches the light. Cut a couple of yards for accent pillows and the color depth is unreal.

The hand-dyed color has so much more depth than regular quilting cotton, and it really does feel like suede against your fingers. I used it for a throw pillow cover and the richness of the color made the whole project look expensive.

The cotton has this soft, brushed suede feel that surprised me for a hand-dyed fabric. I made throw pillows with it and the cherrywood color has a depth you just don't get from regular yardage. Drapes beautifully too.
