I was pleasantly surprised by how well the small repeating train and dot pattern works for bigger quilting pieces—the scale is just right. The navy is classic and the Union Jack detail adds a subtle touch that won't clash with other fabrics.

The blue background is deeper and richer than I expected from the photos, and the train dots are crisp enough to work for a little boy's quilt without looking childish. I've already cut into it for a throw pillow cover and the fabric pressed beautifully without any fraying issues.
