0890 Tissu Icing Cherrywood Au Mètre

The suede-like texture of this hand-dyed cotton caught me off guard in the best way, it drapes so much richer than plain quilting cotton. The cherry red came out deep and slightly uneven, which is exactly what I wanted for a throw pillow project.

I was worried hand-dyed cotton would feel stiff, but this has a brushed, suede-like nap that drapes beautifully. Used it for a quilted throw and the cherrywood color shifts subtly in different light. Zero fraying when I cut it, which never happens with yardage like this.

The colors are so much richer in person than I expected from a screen, and the hand-dyed finish really does read like suede. I used it for a set of accent pillows and the depth of the red makes them look way more expensive than they were.
