I was a little worried the hand-dyed finish would be uneven, but the color is beautifully consistent across the whole yard. It has a soft, suede-like hand that feels lovely to work with.

The second I touched this, I understood the suede comparison—the hand-dyed cotton finish gives it a plush, almost velvety hand that is completely unexpected for a woven. The cherrywood hue has so much depth, it makes a simple drape look like a much more expensive textile.

The hand-dyed cotton really does look like suede, and the color depth is way richer than I expected from a yard of fabric. I used it for throw pillows and the texture feels soft without being slippery.
