The hand-dyed cotton really does have a suede-like finish that photographs beautifully. I made a set of throw pillows and everyone keeps touching them thinking it's real suede. Washed it once already and the color held up perfectly.

I bought three yards for a quilt backing and the hand-dyed color has this deep, rich variation that cheaper cottons just don't have. It's 100% cotton but the finish genuinely reads like suede, which makes it feel a lot more expensive than the price per yard.

The suede-like finish on this cotton is unreal, it drapes way softer than regular quilting fabric. I used it for a throw pillow and the cherry color has this depth that shifts in the light.
