The hand-dyed finish really does look like suede, and the depth of color is way richer than I expected from a cotton. I used it for some throw pillows and the fabric has just enough body to hold a crisp edge.

I used this to reupholster a small footstool and the suede-like finish fooled two people who thought it was the real thing. The ginger color has a lot of depth in person, though I'd order extra yardage since the dye lots can vary slightly.

The hand-dyed cotton really does have that soft suede look, and the ginger shade is even richer in person than on screen. I used it for a table runner and the color has this depth that plain quilting cotton just doesn't have.
