The suede-like texture from the hand-dyeing is what sold me — it's got this soft, almost velvety nap that regular quilting cotton can't touch. I used it for a throw pillow and the watermelon shade shifts slightly in different light, which looks way richer than a flat solid.

I expected the watermelon color to be flat but it shifts a little in different light, which I didn't expect from a cotton. The suede-like finish hides stitches really well on the tote bag I made.
